Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that youmay bring salvation to the

ends of the earth (Acts 13:47).

Saudi Arabia is the cradle of Islam and the home of its holiest sites, and today this country gives millions to propagate its

religion around the world. The Lord calls us to be a light to them. Let's pray for this nation, its leaders and people, and for

the witness of believers who work there in industry and in homes.*

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and AlumniBURKINA FASO: A student asks us to pray for her outreach to Muslim women. She and her team visit ladies at their

homes and build friendships, and she reports that many turn to the Lord. Most cannot attend church or speak openly oftheir faith. Please pray for the spiritual growth of and fellowship for these ladies. Pray for the Lord's blessing on this

    team, that they may persevere.

BURKINA FASO: A student who pastors in a village shares 3 requests. (1) Pray that residents of the village would

come to the church; the congregation is made up of those from outside. (2) Intercede for a young man who accepted

Jesus at an evangelistic campaign. He came twice to see the pastor and then disappeared. Pray that the Lord will keep

him physically and spiritually. (3) Pray for another young man who found the Lord. His father would not permit him

to attend church, and now he has been called into military service. Pray that he will find fellowship and grow in his

    faith.

TOGO: An alumnus asks for prayer as he pastors a church in a northern town that is about 90% Muslim, that God will

give him His wisdom and a strategy for reaching them.

In the NewsPray for pastors and churches in Kenya, particularly in the coastal Mombasa area. This past week two pastors were

slain. One had received death threats after holding evangelistic meetings and was murdered in his church in Mombasa

on Saturday night. Another, a Pentecostal pastor, was found strangled in bushes some 60 km from Mombasa. Earlier

this month, angry youths burned a Salvation Army church, after the shooting death of a popular imam. Churches are

increasingly under fire as Somalian extremist group al-Shabaab's influence spreads in this country. Pray that God's

Spirit will give the church leaders His peace, strength, and wisdom as they confront these powers of darkness. Pray for

their testimony, that through the persecution many who are watching them will turn to Jesus. For more information,

    For Muslim Women**

Pray that God will reveal himself to a specific Muslim girl who recently completed the hajj and seeks answers to

questions about its impact on her life. May she see the hajj for what it is, and may her journey lead her to Jesus.
