A Topix account registration is required to enable information. There is only one registration required and this will allow you to access both Jaguar and Land Rover sites.

To do this, log in to: https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm

You will be prompted to select your language and country. Select the relevant option

To start registration process, select ‘register’

1. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions by selecting the box and then click ‘OK’

2. Complete the registration form (you must complete all mandatory fields as marked by an asterisk ‘*’)

Now that the registration process is complete, you will be allowed to purchase a subscription

1. To purchase a subscription from the ‘Home’ page, select ‘Options’

2. Select ‘Add’

4. Select time period required. (2)

5. Click ‘Next’ (3)

Now that you have a valid Topix account and subscription, you will be able to download SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics)

1. To do this, click on ‘Iinks’ at the bottom of the Topix home page or use this link: http://diagnosticdelivery.jlrext.com/idscentral

2. Select ‘SDD Manual Software Download’

The SDD will allow the user to program all Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles.

With a valid Topix subscription it will also allow access to dealer wiring diagrams and bulletins.

The minimum hardware specification required for SDD is:

Pentium III 2.5 GHz computer with at least 4GB RAM

Display resolution of 1024x768 or greater

16 bit colour

Hard Drive: 320 GB minimum

USB host connection or 10/100Mbit Ethernet card (for J2534 interface connection)

SAE J2534 interface device with J2534-2 optional extensions for medium speed CAN and J1962 pin switching

Modem connection for online software updates and authentication

The SDD application has been tested with the following operating systems:

Microsoft® Windows XP® Professional (Service pack 1 and Service pack 2)

Microsoft® Windows Vista® Business Edition (Service pack 1 and Service pack 2)

Symptom Driven Diagnostics


NOTE: Security access is required to program the ECM (PCM), IPC (Instrument Cluster), BCM (Body Control Module) and KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module. Jaguar Land Rover will make the security access available to licensed locksmiths and Independent Repairers who are active members of National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) registry. http://www.nastf.org/

Currently, we are only able to support yearly subscriptions of the Independent Module Programming with security access.

If you decide that you require the security side as well for SDD, you will need to supply your TOPIxID along with your LSID (Lock Smith ID) so it can be verified with NASTF. Once verified, go ahead and purchase the yearly programming subscription. We can then have the security access added to your subscription for no additional charge.

1. To install the SDD on a computer select the link:


2. Select the SDD 140.01_FULL.exe folder.

3. The install wizard will open and prepare the software. When it opens,

click ‘Next’

4. Read and then accept the terms of the license agreement. Click ‘Next’

5. Read and then accept the compatibility warning. Click ‘Next’

6. Select the relevant drive and click ‘Next’

7. Click ‘Install’ to begin installation process

8. Click ‘Yes’ to making this your default TIF viewer. You will then see a script running.

9. When the install wizard is complete select ‘Yes I want to restart my computer’ and then click ‘Finish’

Once the computer has restarted, all SDD users must install updates.

Updates consist of SDD software updates and calibration file releases

Current installed software levels can be checked via ‘Settings > System information.’

Updates can be started via ‘Settings > System Utilities’

SDD Update


1. Click the box for ‘Independent Operators’

2. Enter your login details and click ‘Login’

3. Read the safety warning and accept by clicking ‘Continue’

4. Click the ‘Auto VIN Read’ button

5. Start a new session

6. Once the vehicle has been diagnosed, click ‘Diagnosis’



7. Check all the tabs that apply until you see the continue tab appear. Then click ‘Continue’

8. Click ‘Diagnosis’

9. Click ‘Recommendations’



10. Click ‘Run’

11. Click ‘Agree’

12. Follow the directions on the screen and then click the green tick to continue



13. Click the green tick to accept the warning and continue

14. Keep following the instructions and clicking the green tick when each step has been carried out

15. Confirm the software parts to be downloaded and check for any updates. Click the green tick to finish and begin downloads.
