men and women are invited. This year the study will

be on the Book of Romans. Registration forms and

pre-addressed envelopes are available in the literature

racks in the Connection Center. Please fill out the

form, and return it with your $25 registration fee

as soon as possible to ensure a place in the class.

JIM & CAROLYN

FASOLD GEM, SPAIN

Jim and Carolyn Fasold arrived in Spain in 1967 as

members of Greater Europe Mission. After learning

the language for 2 years in Barcelona, and after

serving for two years in church planting, the

Fasolds co-founded the Spanish Bible Institute and

Theological Seminary in 1974. In addition to teaching

full-time, Jim served as Director and Carolyn as

Business Manager (1976-2005). In 2006, they handed

over their administrative responsibilities to their

Spanish successors and continued to teach and

raise funds for the Seminary for another five years.

Since 2011, the Fasolds have dedicated their time

to (1) counseling and mentoring graduates in the

ministry, (2) being conference speakers for

pastors and missionaries in Spain and other

countries in Europe, and (3) serving as consultants

for seminaries outside of Spain. In addition, Jim is

presently (4) writing a book on hermeneutics for

the Spanish-speaking world, thus enabling him to

have an even broader ministry. He has already

written a book on marriage (Tu Media Naranja,

1998) and spiritual gifts (Dones Espirituales, 2000)

with Editorial Portavoz (a branch of Kregel

Publishers in Grand Rapids, MI).

Pray for the Fasolds as they put to use all of the

wealth of experience they have gained in their 45

years of missionary service, helping those who are
