Sunday’s Focus:
“Intentional” - that is the name of our new series of Sunday teachings from the Word of God. “Intentional Life” is our focus this week. We believe that “all lives matter” because all life is a gift from Creator God. There is a Sanctity of Hu-man Life that extends from the cradle to the grave. The mes-sage is titled, “All Lives Matter.”

Would You Pray?
Please come to the front of the
sanctuary at 8:15 a.m. on Sun-
day to pray over the sanctuary,
our musicians and Pastor. Don’t
be intimidated. You don’t have to
pray out loud…just agree in
prayer. Then, if you would like
someone to pray with you pri-
vately and confidentially, you
may approach the front of the
sanctuary after our worship.

New Sunday Bible Study -
February 7 - 4:00 p.m.
“Israel’s Mission” is the title of a
new five-week, DVD-based study
of the assignment God gave His
people thousands of years ago: to
bring “lost sheep” back into the
love and safety of His kingdom.
We are to put God on display, to
show the world what He is like.
Each session will be 90 minutes.
This class will meet on the FIRST
and THIRD Sundays of the
month, beginning on February
7th. The cost of the study guide
will be $7.00.
Tuesday Bible Study - 1.19.16
- 7:00 p.m.
Week 2 of our 4-week introduc-
tion to “apologetics” takes
place this Tuesday. Be equipped
to share the certainty of Christ
in an age of uncertainty.
New Opportunities
New training sessions and
Bible Studies are beginning.
Take advantage of them.
Grow in Christ.
Thank You!
Thanks to Bob Coffey for his ser-
vice as President in the past year
(he now becomes our Immediate
Past President). Thanks also to
Karen Camenzind for serving as
our Secretary.
New Stephen Ministry Training Class
We will offer a Stephen Ministry
training class, beginning Wednes-
day, January 20th, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Stephen Ministry is a caring, Chris-
tian, confidential ministry for
which you can be equipped. It’s
people stepping beside people to
help them navigate the changes of
life. To learn more about Stephen
Ministry, visit their website:
h t t p : / /
www.stephenministries.org/. For
more information contact Al Bilau,
402.426.4087, or Curt Barr,
402.426.9684.
Young Adult Bible Study Soon
We will be offering a “young
adult” (define that term as you
will) Bible study on Sundays at
10:00 a.m. What’s So Amazing
About Grace, by Phillip Yancey,
will form the backdrop for exam-
ining Bible passages that relate to
grace. This study will examine the
wonders of God’s grace and how
it can transform individuals, fami-
lies, and even nations. Talk to Pr.
Mark, if you are interested.
Election Results
The following people were cho-
sen at our annual meeting last
Sunday: Diane Fischer (President
Elect) and Tricia Barber
(Secretary). The following were
chosen as delegates: Bob and
Candy Ehmen (LCMC Gathering),
Mike and Amanda Davis
(Heartland District) and Bob and
Kris Coffey (Augustana District).
Pray for the Lord’s wisdom and
gifting to be on these people.
Cleansing Stream - January 30th
Our fourth offering of the Clean-
sing Stream Bible study will be-
gin on Saturday, January 30th,
from 10:00-11:30 a.m., at FCC.
This 12-week discipleship course
utilizes DVD teaching and group
discussion. The class culminates
in a retreat at Thanksgiving Lu-
theran Church, Bellevue, on April
22-23. The cost of the course is
$50. The retreat is an additional
$50. Contact Tim Fischer, if you
would like to register.
Missional Without Having
Another Meeting
Missional is not an event we tack
onto our already busy lives. It is
our life. Missional is the way we
live, not something we add onto
life. We can be missional in every-
day ways without overloading
our schedules. Every Jesus fol-
lower is to carry the mission of
God into every arena of life. We
are missional when we live inten-
tionally, on purpose, every day.
Ready, set, go!
Missional Idea
Invite someone to A Meal and A
Movie. What an easy way to en-
courage an unchurched person
to get to know Jesus! Invite them
to attend on January 31st, 3:00
p.m., at FCC. Free Movie + Free
Food = Winner!
Four Chaplains Remembrance
Worship - February 7th
On Sunday, February 7th, we will
remember the four chaplains who
sacrificed their lives to save oth-
ers when the USS Dorchester was
torpedoed. We are inviting all the
veterans in our community, as
well as their families, to attend.
Please invite someone to worship
Jesus who made the ultimate sac-
rifice on the cross.
Prayer Requests
For those who are suffering from
domestic abuse.
For the youth and children of our
community.
For divine direction for our church
and its future.
For eagerness to maintain the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
For a stronger passion for the Word
of God.

Prayers Answered
Last Sunday, we had a full slate of
nominees to serve as officers and
delegates for our church.
We finished 2014 and 2015 with a
financial surplus.
Why Attend our House of
Prayer? “Fight all your battles on
your knees and you will win every
time.” Are you in a battle? Then,
come to our House of Prayer ~
this Tuesday ~ 6:30 p.m., at FCC,
before the Apologetics Bible
study.

Men: Let Us Pray!

are encouraged to join us for
prayer at 6:41 a.m., every Tues-
day, at Keith Christiansen’s office.
Fellowship Event on Friday
This Friday, January 15th, 7pm–
9pm, we will gather at the church
for a Fun Family Fellowship
Event. This is a way to encourage
one another through conversa-
tion and activities. This month we
will make Valentines to give to
residents at Carter Place near
Valentine’s Day. Bring a healthy
snack to share and a game or two
for after the Valentines are fin-
ished.
A Meal and
A Movie
January 31st
On the last Sunday of this month,
we will host A Meal and A Movie
at FCC. We will watch the film,
“Do You Believe?” Following the
film, we will share a simple meal
and some discussion about the
film. This is a GREAT opportunity
to invite someone to hear about
Jesus. Ask them!

God’s design for marriage on Sun-
day, February 14th, from 4pm – 7
