Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration PRAYER PARTNERS In 1997, the Sisters began to invite lay persons (Prayer Partners) to consider joining them in the ministry of around-the-clock prayer in the Adoration Chapel at St. Rose Convent. To become a Prayer Partner requires a desire to deepen one’s relationship with God, make a commitment to taking an adoration hour and holding, in prayer, the intentions of the many prayer requests received from around the world. If you have questions about becoming a Prayer Partner or are interested in applying please call or email: Sr. Georgia Christensen, Prayer Partner Coordinator at 608-791-5287 or [email protected]. This weekend, after all three Masses, you may also stop at the back of church and speak directly to Sr. Georgia or Sr. Dawn Kutt. Additionally, you are invited to join the Sisters for an Open House at St. Rose Convent on Sunday, January 19 any time between 1:30-3:00 p.m. All are

welcome! Come learn more about Perpetual Adoration even if you aren’t feeling called to join. In addition to a chapel tour, an information packet will be available for those who are interested. After the successful completion of an application and background check, the FSPA will hold a group orientation for new Prayer Partners on Saturday, February 1. Thank you for taking the time each

week to read these articles, to pray and deepen your relationship with Christ, and your willingness to consider developing a more intimate relationship with Him through becoming a Prayer Partner with the FSPA. “The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time that you will spend on earth. Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in heaven, and will help bring about an everlasting peace on earth." ~ Saint Teresa of Calcutta If you’d like to submit a Prayer Request to the Sisters and their Prayer Partners you may do so one of four ways. Building Our Future Together The New Year has gotten off to a fast start for

Building Our Future Together. You may recall last fall we had postponed the Phase IV roofing project until Spring, 2020 since contractors already had too much work to finish before winter and we were not able to obtain competitive bids. As it turned out, the delay may have been a good thing as November was partic-ularly cold and wet.

The Invitation to Bid documents for our spring Roof Replacement project were released on Decem-ber 17. This past Tuesday, January 7, we hosted a Pre-Bid meeting with prospective roofing contractors to review the scope of the project with them and an-swer any questions they may have as they complete their cost estimates. The bids are due on January 14. We will review the bids with Fowler & Hammer on January 15.

The areas included in the Roof Replacement project include all roofs for our buildings constructed in the 1960’s – the church, rectory, and offices. The preliminary work schedule will begin the end of March with completion estimated to be in early June. Plans call for the church to be re-roofed first. The north park-ing lot will be closed during the workweek for cranes, material staging, and dumpsters, but will be partially available on weekends.

God has blessed us abundantly! As we con-clude the joyous season of Christmas, please remem-ber to keep our parish and each other in prayer as we continue to Build Our Future Together.
