I am a well experienced rail operative with 10 years remote track monitoring. I have been working on Network rail infrastructure for over 12 years and have been a track monitoring engineer for over 8 years.I have worked throughout most of the U.K. during my railway career.
Skills and achievements
Technical skill
I have been using various types of surveying equipment over the past 8 years from sprint levels to total stations, Leica, Topcon, and Trimble.
I can competently use Cant gauges to amber trolley gauges all designed to take accurate readings of the track geometry.
Cross level check and reduced levels.
Communication;
Able to communicate to all kinds of individuals and groups from track worker to Managing director.
Proactive and conscienous for example. Communicating track geometry awareness.
Able to keep calm in stressful situations i.e. dealing with the travelling community whilst guarding railway works site.
Leadership and Teamwork
Between 2003 and 2010 I was Managing director and owner of 2 limited companies supplying services to the Network rail infrastructure
I was responsible for Recruiting,Training,Marketing,customer relations
I have worked with and employed a wide variety of ethnic groups. I always lead by example and would never request for any duty to
be done I wouldn’t be prepared to do myself.
Innovation:
My company’s name was Pathfinder innovations Ltd. We manufactured and sold a track monitoring surveying targets,
this innovation came about for the need to monitor the track from a safe distant and to use less personnel I.E a team of 5 to a team of 2!
The Target tool was made of steel and used plastic injected moulding process produce a an accurate track surveying target
Months were spent in trails to prefect a patented innovation. I still manufacture and sell these targets today.

1982-1986 3 O levels ‘C’ 4 CSE’s including Maths and science.
1986-1988 WSM College of further education, 2 year Diploma in Sports education Credit/Pass

RMS LTD/Anders Elite/1st Solutions2013 –present. Track monitoring and hand back engineering for CASR project in South Wales and Great western region.
2013- RMS ltd.Geoffrey Osborne Hand back and track monitoring
2012- SRS ltd Track monitoring for the rebated sleeper contract on the Southern railway.
2011- LSTC. Ltd on behalf of SSE (southern Scottish electricity) UTX works Directional drilling. Track monitoring Engineer using Leica 1205 total station and report sending.
2011- Carillion, Westbury embankment re-stabilization using Top con 90003 remote track monitoring.
2007-2010- Security contracts with in the rail infrastructure throughout the Great western including London and Essex and Norfolk.
May gurney: re-signalling contract Kennet –Bury St.Edmunds Coss/ Security/Manager.
2009/2010- Track monitoring engineer for S.R.S
Setting up remote track monitoring for Trust bore job with Loughery ltd. Clapham junction.
2008- Track monitoring engineer for S.R.SSetting up remote track monitoring for multiple directional drilling sites at Selhurst depot Croydon, London.
2008- Engineering (Anders Elite): Setting up and remote monitoring Coalpit Heath for GWESPA, over a mile of track.

2004-2005- Nationwide survey for Network Rail COSS/COSS mentor– Aktins Rail Bridge servesOn the job mentoring plus documentation and reporting.

Engineering on the national datum plating project for Corus Rail.Involving engineering the work site, COSS lookout hand signalman.In addition providing safety critical services throughout the year.

Interests:
I am an outdoor pursuit’s instructor with a lively interest in kayaking and abseiling. I have worked with diverse groups in age and backgrounds including special needs.I have been an active member of the Royal Marine Reserve for 11 years. This has allowed me to travel and experience life to the full.
I enjoy Travel and adventureI have been married for over 15 years to the same lucky lady and have two daughters 10 and 15 years.References:
