401 Infrarenal aortic aneurysms are a com- mon finding. They may be associated with an aneurysm of the thoracic aorta. It is very difficult to treat all the aneurysms in the same session. Nevertheless, by means of endovascular treatment, it is actually possi- ble to exclude more than one aneurysm dur- ing a single session. We report the case of a 76-year-old fe- male, referred to our department because of an aneurysm of the descending thoracic aor- ta (65 mm), one of the infrarenal abdominal aorta (45 mm) and because of bilateral aneurysms of the common iliac artery (40 mm on the right and 35 mm on the left) (Fig. 1). In view of the patient’s age and condi- tions, we decided to exclude all the aneurysms in the same operative session performed under general anesthesia and us- ing an endovascular prosthesis. The descending thoracic aorta aneurysm was excluded with a Talent endovascular prosthesis. For the aortic and the iliac ones we used an AneuRx prosthesis (Fig. 2). The patient was discharged 4 days after surgery. To date, she still enjoys good health. Fifteen days following surgery we did not find any endoleaks. © 2001 CEPI Srl Received January 22, 2001; accepted January 25, 2001.
