Here comes the Hand Hygiene Week again! To continue last year’s target: to promote

hand hygiene, to reduce cross infection and to save lives, this year our theme is

A. 5 May 2013

Official Opening – Hand Hygiene Dance Video Show

• All wards arrange HH Dance- Hong Kong Version 2012 for patients and their

relatives to view during lunch & dinner time at 11:30 & 17:00 respectively.

• One show was arranged at 13:00 at Staff Canteen for all staff

B. 6 May 2013• Hand Hygiene Knowledge Quiz issue to all staff. • Scenarios for Problem Solving are distributed to all wards &

departments.

C. 6 – 9 May 2013• Hand Hygiene Compliance

Observation

Infection Control Nurse and link nurses

visit wards / departments to observe

Hand Hygiene compliance according to

WHO 5 moments.

• Promotion of Hand Hygiene Practices

to patients & their relatives

Hand Hygiene Ambassadors promote

Hand Hygiene to all patients and their
