No person shall cause or suffer any dog of which heis the owner or of which he has the custody or controlto go or be upon the Great Eastern highway betweenFifth street and Queen street, or Bates street betweenthe Great Eastern highway and Coronation street, orany public reserve ia the Merrcdin Road District,unless such dog is in the immediate charge of someperson and is held on an efficient leash.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Petition has been presented to the Local Court at Perth by the Perth Road Board, prayingthat an order that the lands described in the Schedule to the Petition may he orderod to he sold for non-payment of ratos.

A copy of the said Schedule is hereunto attached : And notice is further given that Monday. the 18th day of January,1943, at 10.15 o'clock in the forenoon, has been appointed as the time when the Magistrate will inquire at the said Court con-cerning the various matters mentioned in the said Schedule, and also whether all notices required by law to be given havebeen given.

The means to be adopted shall be as follo;vAfurrow not less than four miles in length shall be drawnon each holding of 1,000 acres or less, in whichpoisoned baits must be laid not more tilan four feetapart, once a week, commencing and continuing fromthe 1st December, 1942. Owners or occupiers of hold-ings over 1,000 acres shall be required to tb additionalmileage of poisoning at the rate of fonr miles per1,000 acres, calculated in proportion to the area heldover 1,000 acres. In addition, all burrows on cleat-edland and roads shall receive effective fumigation or beploughed out.
