The course will also include Tui-Na and TCM food therapy as related modalities. Graduates of the IVAS Veterinary Support Staff Course are prepared for discussion of the attributes of veterinary acupuncture from both a scientific and Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective to clients. They will be able to provide support to veterinary clinics that practice acupuncture. The responsibility to diagnose and treat an animal with acupuncture will not be covered in this course. That responsibility to diagnose is reserved for trained, licensed veterinarians.
