Lagos is a metropolitan area which originated on islands separated by creeks, such as Lagos Island, fringing the southwest mouth of Lagos Lagoon while protected from the Atlantic Ocean by long sand spits such as Bar Beach.

In 2007, IHG became the first major hotel group to measure both our environmental and carbon footprints.
IHG recently launched an online tool called Green Engage to all the hotels to help improve environmental performance and reduce costs.

Tools such as the Risk Management Calendar and Risk Training Center enable hotel employees to fully embrace and undertake their safety and security responsibilities.
Comprehensive Crisis Management plans are in place to help hotels cope with accidents and catastrophes. Dedicated corporate infrastructure and resources are also available to assist hotels in incident management.
A Global Risk Management team with in-depth, cross disciplinary expertise keeps abreast of hotels’ operational needs and challenges, and changing risk environments.
