Bathurst ExcursionThe bus will be leaving school promptly at 6.00am tomorrow - Wednesday, 3 September. We are booked into a time slot between a number of other schools at Katoomba in the afternoon and have to be on time. The students need to be here at 5.45am (don’t come any earlier – no-one will be here). They need a day pack with their lunch, drinks and recess for Wednesday only, in addition to the rest of their luggage. They will need to have sensible, closed in shoes and a hat on their head. Please note lollies, sweets and chewing gum of any kind are not permitted on this excursion. This includes on the bus. There will be a comfort / food stop on the way home and this will be the only occasion during the excursion where the students will need money. If you would like me to look after this for your child, please hand to me in a labelled envelope in the morning. Likewise with any medication your child may need while they are away. It needs to be in a resealable bag with clearly written instructions.

Bucketts of TalentThis bi-annual event will take place on Wednesday, 17 September. All of the students will be travelling in to watch the matinee performance during the day (a separate note will be sent home about this) while there will be a night time show for the community that night. Tickets are on sale at school - $8 for adults and $5 for children. Please note that performers do not need a ticket. If your child is involved either in the choir or the school item, they will have already brought a note home about this event.

Regional AthleticsHuge congratulations must go to Ruby Cliffe who represented BPS at the Regional Athletics Carnival last Friday. Ruby had a highly successful day winning the long jump with a leap of 3.76m, coming second in the high jump (which she had to leave half way through to compete in the 100m finals) with a jump of 1.2m and coming third in the 100m finals with 15.24s. After this incredible performance, Ruby will now be competing in all three events at the State Carnival which will be held at Sydney Olympic Park on October 15 & 16. Well done, Ruby!
