UNLOCKING THE TRUE POTENTIALOF THE MINING VALUE CHAIN
Integrated Solutions
JKTech Integrated Solutions provides our clients with access to extensive technical expertise delivered by a group of specialists with global industry-based experience, which is underpinned by extensive operational databases and a specialist testing laboratory.
JKTech are independent Partners to the global mining industry who can assist in empowering mine sites to achieve and improve production targets across the mine process value chain.
JKTech is committed to delivering impact for the global resources industry through the application of industry leading practices and methodologies, many of which are founded in world-class research outcomes from The University of Queensland and its Sustainable Minerals Institute.
JKTech is proud to be one hundred percent owned by The University of Queensland.

Mine-to-Mill® and JK Value Chain Optimisation
Integrated Solutions
JK Value Chain Optimisation
JKTech applies a rigorous scientific approach in its optimisation projects which typically includes:
• Site Review and Opportunity Assessment• Establishment of Baseline and Validation of
Alternative Operating Strategies• Quantification of Benefits and Reporting• Sustaining the Benefits
JKTech also provides training to key personnel throughout the project to ensure that new practices are imbedded and solutions are sustainable.
Production achievements over the past six years with minimal capital. Commodities include gold, base metals and diamonds. Operations include CIL, heap leach, dense medium and flotation plants.
Spatial Modelling for Blasting, Comminution and Mineral Separation or Extraction
JKTech’s successful Mine-to-Mill® projects focus on ore fragmentation to increase grinding circuit throughput. Our JK Value Chain Optimisation projects extend the Mine-to-Mill® concept across the mine process value chain to optimise the key processes using minimal capital cost, to drive overall site production and sustainability improvements.
We do this by incorporating:
• Geotechnical Engineering • Geometallurgy • Dilution Control • Early Waste Rejection • Minimising Deleterious Clays • Reducing Penalty Elements • Mineral Separation/Extraction Processes • Dewatering
These training solutions are typically included in Mine-to-Mill® and JK Value Chain Optimisation projects so that clients participate in and own the project improvements. Having a first-hand knowledge of the key levers for achieving high performance means that sites retain the benefits achieved.
Other training provided:
• Metskill and JK Mining School training (post-university technical training for junior professionals)
• Technical training in geometallurgy, mining and mineral processing
Training
JKTech’s data analytics team can examine real time data from global mining operations to employ both human intervention and automated model-based optimisation and responses. We can do this either remotely or on-site. We find this approach is particularly attractive to clients who are participating in or have completed Mine-to-Mill® or JK Value Chain Optimisation projects and wish to sustain and further capitalise upon the benefits delivered from these projects.

Data Analytics
Spatially representing each geometallurgical material type as fundamental inputs in the block model and mine schedule is a natural step to:
• Enable sustainable process optimisation• Identify improvement opportunities and risks• More robust Life-of-Mine forecasting
A multi-disciplinary approach to orebody knowledge approach includes:
• Characterisation of ore and waste and classification to material types for key processes in the mine process value chain i.e. blasting, comminution, flotation, material handling, etc.
• Modelling the spatial variability of material types• Modelling the expected performance of these
materials under constrained conditions.
Orebody Knowledge
Sustaining the Benefits
JKTech provide transformational life-of-mine technical training solutions to clients so that they can develop knowledge and capabilities to solve critical challenges.
Improve Individual and Company Performance
JKTech is proudly owned by The University of Queensland and is the technology transfer company for the Sustainable Minerals Institute.
