WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE IeC
PROGRAMME • Provide access to safe and affordable energy
resources to poor households
• Provide access to information regarding the safe,
efficient and environmentally sustainable use of
energy sources
• Promote the SMME sector and job opportunities
through energy related businesses
• Provide access to energy safe appliances
• Influence policy on both the public and private
sectors regarding access to safe and affordable
energy
