The presentation of the Romanian team at the project meeting in Skopje, Macedonia, October, 2011.Carrer Centres in Schools is an aces project of three schools from Macedonia, Slovenia and Romania. It started in September 2011 and will finish in March 2012. It is financed by the Erste Foundation.

EconomyAlong with Timiş County, forms one of the most developed regions in Romania. Due to its proximity to the border, it attracts a great number of foreign investments.
The predominant industries in the county are:
•Machine and automotive components
•Food
•Textiles
The city of Arad
• an important industrial center and transportation hub
• the seat of a Romanian Orthodox archbishop
• features: -two universities
-a Romanian Orthodox theological seminary
-a training school for teachers
-a music conservatory
• population of approximately 168,000
• the fourteenth largest city in Romania
• the third largest city in the western part of the country
following nearby Timişoara and Oradea.

• rich industrial and commercial tradition
• one of the most prosperous towns in Romania
• numerous investments=>a booming economy.
• The main industries: -freight and passenger railcars -clothing and textiles -food industry -furniture and furniture accessories -equipment for the car industry -electric components -meters -shoes
