Anne Lions Club put on a fan- tastic kite festival for their first year. The wind was just right for kite flying The Lions offered the community a fun af- fordable family event, you could bring your own kite or purchase one on site, Get your face painted and have lunch everything was priced at $1. "We were thrilled to see so many young people out getting there kite up is the air for the first time ever, people came out as far as Ontario to come enjoy some family fun. One family made their own kite at home for the event and I couldn’t believe it was up about 300 feet. The Ste. Anne lions club looks forward to do it again next year". Said organizer Rick McPherson. The Lions try and put on monthly Fam- ily events any funds raised at the events goes back into the community where it is needed most.
