The Town of Ste. Anne will be holding a Recreational Feasibility Consultation topresent the proposals resulting from the Recreational Study. Ideas including splashpad, walking trails, skateboard park, tennis courts and beach volleyball. Thepublic meeting will take place at the Seine River Banquet Centre on January 9th at7:00 pm. Please attend this important meeting to share ideas.

Recipe makes 6 servings

3 skinless, boneless chicken breasthalves, cut into strips3 tablespoons cornstarch2 tablespoons soy sauce1/2 teaspoon ground ginger1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, or totaste1/2 pound spaghetti3 tablespoons vegetable oil1 small onion, chopped3 stalks celery, chopped2 carrots, thinly sliced1 cup broccoli florets1 tablespoon vegetable oil(optional)

Chicken LoMein withBroccoli

Directions Combine chicken strips,cornstarch, soy sauce, ginger, andgarlic powder in a large resalableplastic bag. Coat chicken withmarinade, squeeze out excess air,and seal bag. Refrigerate for 1 to 11/2 hours. Bring a large pot of lightly saltedwater to a boil. Cook spaghetti inthe boiling water, stirringoccasionally until cooked throughbut firm to the bite, about 12minutes. Drain. Heat 3 tablespoons vegetableoil in a large skillet over mediumheat. Remove chicken frommarinade and shake off excess;cook and stir in hot oil until chickenis no longer pink in the center,about 5 minutes. Stir in onion,celery, carrots, and broccoli. Add1 tablespoon vegetable oil, ifneeded. Cover and cook untilvegetables are tender, stirringoccasionally, about 5 minutes. Stir spaghetti into chicken andvegetable mixture; cover andsimmer for 5 minutes more.
