Purina Walk for Dog Guides was held this year at Waldenway Canine and Kitty Camp along side the Eastman Adoption Fair. The Waldenway grounds was a ‘barking good time.’ Approximately 500 people attended. There were dogs swimming and canoe rides, bouncy houses, pony rides, food trucks, and the Lions club raised funds for guide dogs. Along with their walk they also hosted a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. The Wild Dogs Crew was there with tricks and training shows.

A local hobby farm has been working hard and getting ready to open their doors to the public. For the last few years Hickory Hallow Hobby Farm has been making its new home just minutes from Ste. Anne, located just east of town on the # 1 HWY. You may have even visited them at their last home in Austin Mb. Hickory Hallow has been in business since the 70’s. They have a wide variety of animals includ-ing goats, pigs, geese, chickens, bunnies, horses, hedgehogs, chinchillas, doves and more. They even have a llama. Hospital Family Health Walk - Will take place on Saturday, June 4 from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Hospital Grounds. Hospital Fundraiser includes a 4 km family walk, followed by a picnic lunch with outdoor activities for all ages, including the chance to see a Fire Truck! Nature and the Environment Camp July 4-8 - Campers spend time in nature (weather depending), Survivor day: Tribes are created to build friendships and team-work. The Amazing Race Camp July 11 - 15 - Campers create a passport, Travel to a new country each day, Participate in games, sports, art and culture of a new country each day. Campers will keep track of how kms travelled on this amazing race.
