Wirtgen 3800CR

Recycles asphalt layers at widths of up to 12’6” wide and depths of up to 6.” Down-cut drum direction ensures superior material sizing Different injection systems for the precise addition of binders give the cold

recycler superior flexibility

New Technology—Introduced in 2019

Recycles multi widths and up to 12” in depth Down-cut in recycling mode; up-cut in milling mode New Vario injection systems allows for precise dosing when doing up to 800 tons per hour

High-precision, reliable injection systems

Integrated injectionsystemsHigh-precision, microcontroller-controlled injection systems can be relied on to precisely govern the addition of water, bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen.

Two injection bars can beoperated simultaneouslywhen adding water and bitumen emulsion.

High-precision, reliable injection systems

Adjustable injectionpressureThe VARIO injection bars for foamed bitumen, emulsion and water feature nozzles with an adjustable cross-section to allow flexible adjustment of the spraying pressure.

Metering panel for easy monitoring of bindermeteringThe metering panel with screen can be used to adjust and monitor all important parameters related to binder metering.

High-precision, reliable injection systems

Operating principle: variable nozzle cross-sections in the injection bar for water or bitumen emulsion.

The injection system feedswater into the mixingchamber in a microcontroller-controlledprocess and in accordancewith the mix formulation toachieve the optimummoisture content.

Placing with Pavers with high density screeds

Paver designs now allow for placement of thicker material mats

Larger material tunnels and augersScreeds with Tamper bars Pressure barsInitial compaction of 86%-88%

New Technology

W380CRi and Vogele Super 2000 paver with high density screed allows for:

Greater depth of the recycling layer Taken down to the top of the aggregate through thicker

asphaltAbility to recycle higher volumes of material with Varioinjection systems-->width > 12.5’, depth > 8”Achieve ride quality and density with thicker mats and smooth drum compaction

Perfection in visibility, comfort and ergonomic design

High-quality camera systemThe standard version of the robust camera system consists of one camera in the front area and optionally of up to seven cameras.

High-resolution camera images can be simultaneously displayed on different screens. The camera image of the discharge conveyor can, for example, be displayed both on the camera screen on the operator’s stand and on the metering panel forthe ground personnel.
