Program DescriptionThe Industrial Systems Technology diploma program is designed for the student
who wishes to prepare for a career as an Industrial Systems technician/electrician. The program provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skill, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain or upgrade present knowledge and skill. The diploma program teaches skills in Industrial Systems Technology providing background skills in several areas of industrial maintenance including electronics, industrial wiring, motors, controls, PLCs, instrumentation, fluid power, mechanical, pumps and piping, and computers. Graduates of the program receive an Industrial Systems technology diploma that qualifies them for employment as industrial electricians or industrial systems technicians.
EmploymentStudents graduating the
Industrial Systems Technology program can
expect to work in any manufacturing industry
or in a commercial electrical field.
Admission RequirementsBased on the following…. Students interested on signing
up for the Industrial Systems Technology program will need to take an entrance exam and make satisfactory scores on the admissions (COMPASS) test.If an applicant does not score high enough, he or she can take Learning Support courses before entering into the program.
Additional Program RequirementsStudents are required to
purchase electrical tools that include the following: screw driver assortment, wire strippers, side cutters, tape measure, safety glasses, tool pouch, crimping pliers, digital multi-meter (CAT III up to 600V)
Any other tools required will be furnished by the program
Timeline
Students may enter the program at any term; Fall, Spring or Summer
The Industrial Systems Technology program is currently 4 terms in length.
Full time students can complete the program in 4 semesters, if a students starts in a Fall or Spring semester. If a student starts in a Summer semester, that student will graduate in 5 semesters

General Fees One time application fee Transcript requests Late registration fees Fees, by term, as follows:
a. Tuition is based on $89 per credit hour ($1,335 for 15 hours or more)
b. Registration fee of $50
c. Activity fee of $24
d. Technology fee of $105
e. Insurance of $4
f. Special Instructional fee of $50
Part of your tuition may be covered by HOPE and Pell grants if you are eligible. Check with financial aid concerning your financial support eligibility. Check our website for the most recent tuition costs and general fee costs.
Total Estimated Program Costs
Book cost for first time student $400-$600 plus any tools required usually around $150.00
