Chairman SLC(LT) stated that in view of the present scenario of therma-l coal imports in the country, it isdesirable that a-11 allocated coal blocks should be operationalized within the scheduled timelines. This wouldenable allocation/earmarking of coal linkages from CIL/SCCL to the Power Plarts which do not have coallinkages. The Mining Plans are made by the Project Proponents (PP) and are approved by the competentauthority. Hence, the PPs should adhere to the production schedules which have been prepared bythemselves. The Committee then proceeded to discuss the agenda items as per the detail below.
