in basic sciences, technical arts, humanities &social sciences, and interdisciplinary electives help

• At the end of third year the students undergo an 8 week long industrial internship/training as

part of the curriculum.• These industries primarily deal with areas in core chemical engineering like FMCG, oil

services, pharmaceuticals, food processing, petroleum, etc.

• The projects assigned to the students involve many aspects of an industry like sales,

improving profits, efficiencies, meeting targets as well as R&D.

• This gives the students a direct industrial exposure and instils in them a healthy professionalethic.

In addition to this, the Unit Operations Labs and other course projects involving various tools

like MATLAB, ASPEN,HYSYS, FLUENT, etc. equip the students with sufficient practical skills.



Students take up research and industrial projects under a faculty guide in their 4 th year as part of

the curriculum.

MTech and Dual degree students do a 3 semester long thesis involving an in depth study and work

in one of the contemporary research areas.

Dual degree students, besides completing UG courses, take up specialized courses along withMTech students, in addition to the thesis.

The work done in these projects and thesis often result in patents and paper publications in

leading journals and conferences like Chemcon,Chemference, ChemInsight, etc.
