Day 2 Rio de JaneiroToday you will take the cog railway to the peak of Corcovado Mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeem-er (voted one of the Seven Wonders of the World) overlooks the city from a height of 2,300 feet. Enjoy the pan-oramic view of Rio including its famous beaches and Guanabara Bay. Your descent will bring you through the lush Tijuca Forest, the world’s largest urban forest. (B)

Day 3 Rio de JaneiroEnjoy your day at leisure. This evening, a uniquely Brazilian experience – din-ner at a local Churrascaria (barbecue) restaurant, followed by a passionate samba show at Plataforma 1. (B, D)

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro-Iguassu FallsToday fly out of Rio bound for Iguassu Falls, one of the world’s most beauti-ful natural spectacles. Check into your room at the Hotel das Cataratas, overlooking the falls inside the Brazilian National Park. This afternoon, take the independent walking tour of the Brazil-ian side of the falls. The path begins in front of your hotel. (B)

Day 5 Iguassu Falls-Buenos AiresThe Argentine side of the falls offers a different perspective. After checking out of your hotel, pass over the Iguassu River into Argentina. Walk through the Argentine National Park to the catwalk overlooking the Devil’s Throat, the most breathtaking view of the falls where the thundering water plunges 235 feet to the river below. This afternoon, your flight to Buenos Aires departs from the nearby Argentine-side airport. Check into your Buenos Aires hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure. (B)

Day 6 Buenos AiresToday you will embark on a journey through the city’s various neighbor-hoods and sights, including the colorful La Boca district, Plaza del Mayo, La Casa Rosada, Recoleta Cemetery, the burial site of Eva Peron, and many oth-ers. Day 7 ManausThis morning from your hotel’s docks, you’ll cruise on an Amazon riverboat to

the “meeting of the waters,” where the dark waters of the Rio Negro meet the muddy waters of the Rio Solimões, form-ing the Amazon River. Reservations & PaymentReservations will be confirmed upon receipt of a $150 per per-son deposit. Full payment is due at least 60 days prior to depar-ture except for Carnival or Reveil-lon, where full, non-refundable payment may be required upon confirmation. All major credit cards and checks are accepted.

VisasPassengers are responsible for acquiring valid passports and visas. U.S. Citizens must pos-sess a Brazilian Tourist Visa for travel to Brazil. For Argentina, a valid U.S. passport will suffice. Requirements for citizens of other countries differ. Children of Brazilian Citizens have special passport requirements – ask the Brazilian Consulate for details. Discover Brazil Tours recom-mends the use of a reliable visa service that will assist you in obtaining the proper visas.

Travel DocumentsDocuments will be issued and delivered upon receipt of final payment. Documents will include airline tickets, vouchers for hotel and ground services, itineraries, and the Discover Bra-zil Guidebook covering detailed information on the areas to be visited.

BaggageOne carry-on handbag small enough to fit in overhead compartment, and two checked pieces of luggage are allowed. No single piece of luggage may weigh over 50 pounds, nor exceed 106 inches in combined length, width and height. No one dimension may exceed 62 inches.

CancellationTour Deposit of $150 per person is non-refundable. After issuance of documents, any airline or hotel cancellation fees become non-refundable. Carnival, Reveil-lon and special events hotel packages are non-refundable, due to the hotel’s non-refundable

pre-payment requirements. Otherwise, hotels will charge one room night if cancelled less than 72 hours prior to check-in. Unused portions of tour are not refundable. Airfares are subject to different rules and cancellation fees; some may be non-refundable. To protect against cancellation charges, we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance.

Travel InsuranceDiscover Brazil Tours, Inc. acts as passenger’s agent to travel providers (airlines, hotels, ground services). We recom-mend the purchase of travel insurance to cover your travel arrangements. Travel Guard insurance covers trip cancel-lation or interruption, illness, injury, emergency assistance and baggage. Contact your sales representative for more informa-tion.

Health RequirementsNo immunization or health cer-tificates are required for travel to Brazil or Argentina from the U.S. No high altitudes or rural areas are visited by these tours. If entering Brazil from Bolivia, Peru or Ecuador, a yellow-fever certifi-cate may be required. Contact Brazilian Consulte for details. Passengers should consult their physician regarding all health matters.

Tour Prices & HotelPrices are quoted in US dollars. Hotel room grades are run-of-the house. Hotel rooms include pri-vate bath. Printed tour prices are based on exchange rates, tariffs and taxes at the time of printing. Discover Brazil Tours reserves the right to change pricing to reflect hotel tariffs, taxes and exchange rates applicable at the time of tour confirmation.

Not IncludedAirport departure taxes are not included, and are calculated at time of ticket issuance. Also not included are excess baggage charges, meals other than those specified, tips to guides, drivers or bellboys, any item of a purely personal nature, and any other item not specifically mentioned as included.

HolidaysDuring local or national holidays, certain facilities such as muse-ums and restaurants, sightsee-ing tours and shopping may be limited or not available. Alterna-tives will be offered whenever possible.

Air TransportationAirfares are based on contracted bulk or published fares in econ-omy class service. All fares are subject to change. Certain fares require advance purchase or instant purchase and are subject to a cancellation fee once tickets are issued. Should airline sched-ule changes result in a necessity to alter the land arrangements, the passenger must pay any ad-ditional expense.

ResponsibilityThe responsibility of Discover Brazil Tours, Inc., of Miami, Florida (hereinafter referred to as DBT), is strictly limited. DBT arranges with airlines, hotels, ground transport companies and other independent firms, as agent, to provide passengers with high quality travel services. While DBT takes great care in selecting suppliers, we do not control them and therefore can-not be responsible for their acts or omissions or those of their employees, agents or representa-tives. DBT will not be responsible for any act or omission, error, delay, loss, accident or injury to you or those traveling with you, caused by the neglect or default of any company or person engaged in providing services for which tickets or vouchers are issued, including the service of any hotel, restaurant, night club, or train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, motorcoach or any other

conveyance. Neither will DBT be responsible for the expense, inconvenience or injury caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to, hotel or airline overbooking, late arrival or departure of convey-ance, delays, strikes, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equip-ment, accidents, sickness, weather conditions, theft, terror-ist acts, changes in itinerary or schedules, or passenger’s failure to obtain required documenta-tion. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours or to vary itineraries and substitute components of tour programs should conditions warrant; also to decline to accept or retain any passenger as a member of the tour. The payment of the required deposit or partial or full payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained herein.
