Human Resource Hiring Trends Leaning Toward
Mobile Recruiting By Jason Hanold
As managing partner and CEO of Illinois-based Hanold Associates, LLC, Jason Hanold founded the executive search firm in 2010. Jason Hanold utilizes his in-depth knowledge of the human resources (HR) industry to help lead this company. With technology constantly evolving, those in the HR industry must stay current with hiring trends in order to secure the best candidates. And currently one of those trends is digital recruiting.
Introduction
According to a March 2014 article published by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), recruiters can find job candidates through mobile recruiting. SHRM obtained its findings from a study done by International Data Corp (IDC), which predicted by 2015 that more Americans would utilize their mobile devices to surf the Internet when compared to their computers. In turn, if businesses wish to hire individuals, they should create websites and applications that are easily accessible through mobile platforms. Hand-held mobile devices may allow potential hires to email, schedule interviews, and video chat with prospective employers.
