As early as biblical times hospitality has been noted. Ancient Greeks had thermal baths in their villages solely for the use of weary travelers that needed rest. The Romans built mansions to provide places for people to sleep and relax. The amount of places multiplied over time and continued to add amenities that are considered normal in todays hospitality.
