Assignment Description

• Each student will teach a total of seven lessons throughout the course to Crestwood Middle School 8th graders

• A lesson plan and reflection paper will be expected with each lesson taught (see lesson plan template)

• Each lesson will be evaluated by me (see class lesson evaluation form)

• Lesson Taught 10pts, Lesson Plan 10pts, Reflection Paper 5pts

• Set Induction – students will introduce themselves to the class, present an introduction to a lesson and compile student information by survey

• Motivational Lesson – students will choose a high interest topic on their own, create a lesson plan and teach

• Student Based Lesson – students are to design a lesson that focuses on student inquiry and encourages students to communicate with mathematics

• Teacher Based Lesson – students are to design a lesson that incorporates teaching strategies that have been learned in class with special detail to individual student learning styles and utilization of best teaching practices such as tiering and differentiation
