Why are challenging behaviors so challenging??????
• Impulsivity- the inclination of an individual to initiate behavior without adequate acknowledgement of consequences for their actions.

2 types of Impulsivity
• Behavioral Impulsivity-• The things that you do.
These impulses are often the ones that students continue to do even after they have been told not to.
• Cognitive Impulsive- the things that you say.
• These behaviors are usually involve students not reasoning consequence beforehand and just guessing what may occur.

What does Impulsivity look like?
• Overreaction to minor situations• Rushing through activities• Acting without thoughts or planning• Interruptions that are off topic

students make good choices, use their coping skills, and makes the right decision in a difficult situation!
