A Heads Up The Show Goes On In a former life, I spent a good deal of time in and around stage theatre. A mixture of professional and amateur theatres and participants—actors, sing- ers, dancers and musicians in conjunction with set designers, stagehands and lighting/sound artisans—provided the foundation for my understanding of how teams of skilled individuals collaborate to present an outstanding performance. This background also taught me that with that many people and all the moving parts, it is inevitable that something can go wrong at any time. Yet, there is an old axiom that guides the arts—“The Show Must Go On.” No matter what hap- pens, the collaborators put on the best show they can. As many of you know, in October 2013 I informed the RSES Board of Directors that when my current employment agreement expired at the end of June 2014, I would not be renewing. That timeframe has since accelerated and I’ll now be ending my tenure with RSES at the beginning of this month. I am confident that the Board will map out a solid plan for the next phase of staff support for the organization. There are a lot of intelligent leaders on the Board, with no shortage of experience, expertise and ideas. And the staff in Rolling Meadows, Ill., most of whom have been with RSES for a long time, will keep things humming along without interruption. I can assure you that the paid staff and the volunteer leadership will collaborate to continue providing RSES members and the HVACR industry with continually improving products, programs and services. The show will definitely go on! By the way—if you haven’t attended any of the live Webinars being provided to you at no additional cost, you are missing out! Be sure to keep your contact in- formation up to date so you don’t miss out on any of these outstanding events. Thank you to all the RSES leaders, Members and staff with whom I’ve worked since 1993. You are the essence of RSES, and I am forever indebted for what I have learned with you. A Heads Up

The Show Goes On

In a former life, I spent a good deal of time in and around stage theatre.
