What is a Habitat?

• A habitat is where animals and plants live.• Habitats can have a lot of or a little

different plant and animal life. • All habitats are either hot, cold, or

temperate in temperature.• All habitats are either dry, wet, or both.

The Ocean• The sea is the biggest habitat.• The sea is mostly water.• Animals: Fish, Mammals• Biggest animal in the world lives in the sea:

The Blue Whale.• Many small plants.• Can be very cold.
