• DSEA has 44 active members who all share a common set of goal which is coming up with new innovate ideas or using new technologies for renewable energy.

• DSEA participated in Global 2008 Tradeshow which gave them the opportunity to network with international contacts which is vital in building clusters, and provides the opportunity to showcase the strengths of DSEA membership.

• SWITCH is dedicated to improving the environmental and economic sustainability of the Kingston region through promoting development and commercialization of energy efficient and alternative energy technologies, products, processes, and services.

• The Queen's-RMC Fuel Cell Research Centre (FCRC) is Canada's leading university dedicated to advancing the knowledge base for addressing the key technology challenges to the adoption of fuel cell applications.– http://www.fcrc.ca

• St. Lawrence College Energy House are an integral part of the Energy Systems Programs at St. Lawrence College, as well as being a public and local centre for Alternative and Renewable Energy technologies. It is also a facility that makes Alternative and Renewable Energy commercial technologies. Energy House focuses on commercialized alternative and renewable energy products.– http://www.sl.on.ca

• The 7th World Wind Energy Conference (WWEC) will be held at St. Lawrence College campus. the 2008 WWEC agenda will represent all renewable energy technologies for electricity generation and has been structured to address challenges, opportunities and best practices within international renewable and community power sectors. – http://www.wwec2008.com

• To keep pace with the changing job market, Kingston’s universities and high schools are stretching the borders of renewable and environmental education. Students are giving a chance to gain hands-on experience. Queen Elizabeth Collegiate and Vocational Institute offers a program called Enviroworks in which students learn about recycling and environmental business practices.– http://queenelizabeth.limestone.on.ca

• The Northern Colorado Clean Energy Cluster is a business-led, project-oriented group of regional partners seeking to have a global impact.– http://www.nccleanenergy.com

• Through mass collaboration, the Cluster intends to position Northern Colorado as the "Go To" region for smart grid technologies, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and cleaner and more efficient engines.

• The NCCEC has strong progressive municipal-owned utility, world class clean energy research programs, end users employing leading edge clean energy technologies, a highly trained workforce, and national recognition for innovation and entrepreneurship.

• The NCCEC has mass-collaborative effort funded by Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation, City of Ft. Collins, Woodward, Upstate Colorado, and Spirae

• One of NCCEC major contributor is Colorado State University

• Clean – energy companies are fueling a revival in Northern Colorado. More than 40 businesses have setup shops in Northern Colorado in recent years. Businesses and academic leaders are trying to make the area a hub of alternative-power development.

• Colorado State University has launched its new super-cluster program. It is aimed at speeding up the initial concept stage, through R&D, and on to a commercialized ready-for-market products and services.

• The NCCEC has coordinated a initiative project that involves Fort Collins Utilities which specializes in infrastructure, and UniverCity Connections which has marketing/communications expertise to transform UniverCity Connections district into a net zero energy user.
