Task and arguments

• To set up a group-life insurance plan for people with diabetes

• Argument: People with diabetes are regularly examined = early detection of complications

• Argument: Huge number of insured = less risk

Achievement

• Group-life insurance up to the age of 51

• Open to all members who meets requirements and spouces/partners

• Premium-rates compatible with ordinary group-life insurance

The Plan

• Basic ”Mandatory” Coverage: 50.000 kr.(Membership A+; min 80% of members

entry)• Voluntry Coverage:

Eligibility

Basic ”mandatory” coverage:

• Member or Spouce/Partner of member

• Age 18 – 50

• Fully capable of performing occupation

• Not: HIV-positive, cystical fibrosis, under treatmemt for alcoholism

Eligibility

Voluntry coverage:

• BMI max. 29

• No suffering from diseace leading to premature death

• Last 2 HbA1c measurements under 9

• No abuse of tobacco or alcohol

Perspectives

• Enhance eligibility to 55 years

• Proof of mortality in relation to diabetes

• Enlarge group by inviting other associations

• Better pension deals
