Logo & typeAfter considering aspects of film and fashion and what they have in common, I decided that movement was a good place to start.
I created the logo to communicate this movement in a visual way. There are several variants that can be used as appropriate.
The primary logo gives not only a sense of movement but that of light. This is another aspect of both fashion and film that is key to their success.
The accompanying subtitle, and all other text, will be in the font family ‘Avenir’. This is a clean modern sans serif font that strikes an interesting juxtaposition when placed next to any of the logos.

Poster oneI chose this image as it has a cinematic quality and could also easily be taken from a fashion shoot. It intrigues and makes a viewer of the poster stop and think. What is that girl doing?
This took significant work in Photoshop to achieve the finished article. I wanted a washed out arty look to the image with just a limited amount of colour. After removing all the colour from the photograph I added spots of the colours I wanted along with a simulated light leak.

Poster twoThe second of Dressing the Screens poster adverts. Done in the same style and with the same colour scheme. This image also invites the viewer to engage with the potential story evoked by the mystery woman this time depicted on a sunny forest path.
Although the image has been again heavily manipulated with Photoshop attention has been taken to add some of the definition back into the hair and face after the lighting has been altered.

FlyersFlyers would be dropped in significant numbers at venues where members of the public with an interest in film, or fashion, or preferably both will attend.
The best stock possible should be used. However as large numbers will be required a compromise will have to be reached.
The diagonal rectangle image containers invoke a sub conscious connotation of old fashioned film reel. This shape will be used where necessary throughout the exhibition print and screen media.

Private view invitationPrivate invitations would be sent to VIP’s and industry colleagues. They should be produced on high quality thin card. As in the insert image on the opposite page, the exhibition name should be vinyl embossed. This will have the effect of adding value to the invitation, increasing the chances of the intended guests attending.

Exhibition brochureThis is an example of a possible exhibition brochure layout. To give a luxurious, aspirational quality to the production the brochure would be of the best quality stock the budget would allow.
The cover should be a matt finish with the title done in a shiny vinyl.

WebsiteThe website will use all the current web trends, appearing modern, cutting edge, vibrant.
• Large home page with most of the content on the first page.
• Full screen slider at the top of the page• Back ground images will use parallax java script
to make moving though the pages visually interesting.
• Integrated blog feed.
Points to note are; The images in the ‘Information’ section would scroll slowly across the screen. Adding visual stimulus.
Background images in the ‘Information’ and ‘Events’ sections will move with a parallax effect.
The top image would periodically slide, and can also be controlled by use of the arrow buttons.
