Dear People,

A long distance race in a sports arena takes

several laps. As a runner goes into the last lap,

the spectators give him or her encouragement

to finish well.

In denominational churches in India, ministers

retire compulsorily at 65. As an independent

church, Grace Bible Church doesn’t need to

follow this rule, but it is important that I set

the right precedents for those who follow.

When running the last lap, a runner goes past

the same areas of the arena as before. I now

start my last lap. For one last time I will run

the course of the year as your pastor.

I am burdened by the need to finish well. I

would like to be able to finish what I started

when I led all of you in laying the foundation

for a church in the Allipur village in Nov.

2009.

Construction work started in earnest this

year. A proper foundation and columns were

constructed, and the walls have reached roof-

level. We’ve now exhausted the money we had

collected for this work. More funds needed to

put a roof, lay the floor, plaster the walls, put

in windows and doors, do the electrification

and get electrical fittings. Which part (s)

would you like to contribute to? Give from

your own pocket and also tell your relatives

and friends that here is genuine work that

they can support. Please help me finish the

task.

Sunday School meets during the morning services.

Fasting & Prayer:

Fasting and prayer on Saturday 25th. Skip lunch and come fasting to the

sanctuary for prayer from 6 to 7. Fast-

ing and prayer will be held every Fourth Saturday of every month.

Rufus recovered from typhoid

Nalin recovering after hernia operation.

Roshini battling uvitis

Dorcas and Yeshaiah had episodes of serious health problems. Greg and dad escaped unhurt after truck hit their car. Greg back from travels. Dorcas, Greg & Yeshaiah moving to Dehra Dun.

Armaan has recovered from a bad stomach problem. Supriya has to recover full use of finger she had jammed in a door.

Mary & James were ill with stomach problems

Ajit Khan was in an earthquake and is okay.

Fizza has university exams.

Elishba has got her medical degree.

Allipur Grace Bible Church Sanctuary-cum-St Paul’s School Hall has reached roof level. Need funds for roof, floor, plastering walls, wooden doors and windows, electrification and fittings.

Ishaaq & family have found a suitable new home and will be moving this month.
