My dear People

Someone said “Many books can inform you but the

Bible can transform you.”

Once a village woman took her 5 year old child to a nearby pond to wash clothes. The child also took a

wire bag with her to play. As the mother was wash-

ing clothes, the child was playing with the wire bag

by dipping it into the water and lifting it up to see how much water she could collect using the wire

bag. But, as she lifted up the bag the water

drained out of the bag through the holes in it. She

kept on playing till her mother finished washing the clothes. Then the child told her mother, “ Mummy

I’m not able to bring water in my bag". Her mother

said “ Never mind, look your bag is clean now”. Same way, when you read the word of God, some-

times you may not understand but if you keep on

reading His word, it has the power to cleanse your

heart and transform your life.

Psalm 119:9 says, “How can a young man keep his

way pure? By keeping it according to His words.”

And verse 11 says “ Thy word I have hidden in my

heart that I may not sin against Thee”

As our children navigate their lives in this corrupt world, the Word of God will be like a road map,

which will help them to find their way through

traps and temptations and will take them to the final destination.

Keeping this in mind, we have encouraged our Sun-

day School children to learn the Bible verses and to

recite them in the church on the third Sunday of every month. I request all the parents to please co-

operate and ensure that your children memorize

the verses that are given to them.
