Suzanne Burd, retiring as Community Education Coordinator/ RET Program Coordinator at Columbia Gorge Community College, was re- elected the the Board and will also be continuing to serve as Board Secretary. New Board member Kari Fagerness was also elected. Kari serves as Executive Director for Skamania County Economic Development Council. GTA Events July 2: Human Resources/ Recruiters Coffee The GTA invites the human resources/ recruiting staff of our member companies to this bi-monthly networking event at 8:30am with coffee and pastries. Attendance is restricted to the roles noted and RSVPs to Jessica are required. These events are helpful to share what you're working on and get ideas from others working in this role in the Gorge. Also in development for July/ August: our quarterly CEO Excellence Forum lunch. our Summer Party, one of the best GTA events of the year! Stay tuned. ...but Geek Lunch is on summer vacation! Congrats to GTA MemberColumbia Gorge CommunityCollege (CGCC), which recentlyannounced that they are nowthe first (and so far only)institution in the PacificNorthwest offering "TrustedOperator Program 'Level One'"certification training forcommercial UAV pilots. "Level

One" is the first of three certification levelsestablished by the Association for Unmanned VehicleSystems International, a global non-profit dedicatedto the advancement of autonomous systems androbotics.
