About HftHft is a leading national charity that supports people with learning disabilities. Every day our creative thinking helps people to live the best life possible. Founded by pioneering families more than fifty years ago, we continue to work in partnership with the people we support, their family and their friends to understand their individual needs and goals. Our staff expertise includes supporting people with complex needs, challenging behaviour and specific syndromes to live more independently and safely; using a person-centred support method.

Hft and the Design for Life Appeal North WestHft supports people with learning disabilities through a range of services across its North West region, which spans from Bradford, to Lancashire and across to Cheshire and Merseyside. These services include supporting people in residential settings, supporting people to live in their own homes in the community and providing access to day services where people can get involved in community activities and achieve personal goals. Priority is given to meeting the changing needs of people with a wide range of learning disabilities. With this in mind, services are extremely varied and are designed to meet the needs and aspirations of each individual, both now and in the future. The ‘Design for Life North West Appeal’ will help us to continue providing high quality support to people with learning disabilities.

As a charity we help the people we support to live fulfilled lives through strategic investment in opportunities such as: personalised technology, our Family Carer Support Service, supported employment opportunities and our friendship and dating agency Luv2MeetU.

Hft and Self Unlimited merged in April 2013. Together we now support more than 2,500 adults with learning disabilities.

9.00-10.30am: Tee-off times, 4 ball Stableford team competition (2 tee-off starts)

Hft are delighted that Royal Liverpool Gold Club have once again kindly agreed to stage this year’s ‘Design for Life Appeal North West’ Golf Day. Scene of many Open Championships, Royal Liverpool is a true Championship course.

This famous links provides a most attractive venue for client entertaining and you too will be able to follow in the footsteps of the 2014 Open Champion, Rory McIlroy
