Go Grow It Guide
1. Let’s start with the container. You can make your own or buy a container. You can also reuse any container that you already have: cans, bottles, cups, shoes, anything you can spy with your eye that’s holding something else right now!
2. Make your container plant-friendly by poking holes in the bottom. Plants don’t like to be soggy, a container needs to have a way of draining water that it doesn’t need.
3. Now you need your plants - grow them from seed, buy them already started or barter for them!
4. Plan your garden layout5. Get your soil. 6. Fill your container with soil, break up any clumps.7. Dig a small hole where you want the plant to go (according
to the plan)8. Loosen the rootball - okay, the rootball is what it sounds
like – the plant’s roots form a ball. Loosening it helps the roots get ready to dig into their new home.
9. Place the plant in the hole so that the soil line of the plant and the top of the soil in the container line up.
10. Find a great growing spot! Plants have preferences for sunlight, water and temperature.
