GMFCo are a Marketing, Events and Sponsorship agency who also specialise in Advertising and Public Relations.

When GMFCo started in 2002, we cut our teeth on sponsorship and events, this still is the backbone to our business. In 2007 we expanded by bringing in-house our own creative account team and have since added a Public Relations service.

We have produced great brand-building relationships, delivering real value and our principles have extensive experience with integrated marketing projects. Our talented staff have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and have been behind some of the most significant campaigns in the country.

Gordon Ritchie - DirectorGordon is our man in the know with the ear of many business leaders and politicians, both local and national, and even more of the great and good on speed-dial - built over many years in commercial business, the media industry and local and national government.

Gordon has an in-depth knowledge of both the private and public sectors.

Currently advising on the Marine industry with the Scottish Government, Visit Scotland and Scottish Enterprise.

Gordon works closely with MSPs and Ministers on major Sport and Marine projects.

Instrumental in bringing the MOBO Awards to Scotland and creating the financial and business plan for this successful event in October 2009.

Gordon is a keen skier and is heavily involved in Snow Sport.

Teri Brogan - Marketing & Event PlanningTeri brings a marketing degree not to mention good looks and a youthful outlook to our team.

Louise Adam - Freelance Events ManagerLouise has spent many years in the entertainment sector and has organised marketing at a wide range of major UK events for us while running her own catering company

Ian Dickson - Account DirectorIan‘s expertise and skills cover a wide range of marketing activities. Starting his career as an advertising copywriter he equipped himself with knowledge of every aspect of the advertising business by working in production and account handling in agencies and in marketing management on the client side of the business.

During his 25 years in advertising Ian has worked on some of the best ad accounts in Scotland - BP consumer products, United Distillers, British Aerospace, Macdonald Hotel’s & Resorts, Scottish Amicable, as well as many housebuilders.

His experience makes him one of the best advertising account directors in Scotland and he has a solid and unrivaled knowledge across the whole spectrum of communications disciplines.

Ian brings a genuine passion for the business to any account he works on and always strives to give the client more power for their pound.

Gus Macdonald - Creative DirectorWith over 25 years in the creative field working on big national and regional accounts, Gus is charged with our creative output, work which realises the sales and image of our clients in the marketplace.

Hugh Duncan - Creative ArtworkerWith 20 years experience in various studios. Hugh creates the final jobs with speed and accuracy. He also manages our studio equipment and network requirements.

We love nothing more than taking big ideas and making them happen. Our team of production and promotional people thrive on logistical problems and have delivered brand activity ranging from 500 capacity product launches to major brand experiences at 120,000 capacity music festivals. We work nationally and have extensive experience in putting teams together for regional projects, including sampling and street teams.

GMFCo has over 25 years experience of sponsorship. We have worked with a wide range of sponsors and rights holders over the years to deliver on objectives and create a return on investment. We fully understand sponsorship, how to negotiate public and private sector partnership deals and can show credentials of this in more detail.

GMFCo have over 9 years in experiential marketing within the sponsorship proposition. We have worked with major brands and can show a ROI well above the normal. We fully understand sponsorship and have advised serveral major companies.

GMFCo is a production company specialising in sport and music event creation/production – we have a great track record of achieving effective and measurable results.

We even run our own events so we know what we are talking about!

The Skykon Tiree Wave Classic and its other half The MacBraynes Coll Challenge were again a great success in 2009 with new sponsors on board in the shape of Skykon and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue for the Tiree and with MacBraynes again lending their support for Coll.

The World Boxing Council Night of Champions will take place in August 2010 in Cardiff - showcasing the best boxing of the last 4 years and giving awards to the greatest boxing champions of all time. The event will have worldwide TV coverage ensuring maximum exposure for the sport, the champions, the host location and the sponsors.

The International Children’s Games are being held in Lanarkshire in 2011 and represent a great sponsorship opportunity which has already been seized by both Tunnocks and the Scottish Building Society.

Not content with making waves in the Atlantic we hosted ZapCat Racing events at both Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal and Braehead Shopping Centre, Glasgow.

On a smaller scale we organised the Kirkintilloch Canal Festival for East Dunbartonshire Council.

GMFCo’s expertise in promoting the excitement and drama of extreme sports is perfectly illustrated by our long-standing and highly successful relationship as owners of The Tiree Wave Classic.

Every October the elite of windsurfing compete to land the highly prized UKWA Triple Crown on the tiny Scottish island of Tiree.

As owners GMFCo’s skills are found in sponsorship exploitation, promotion and marketing, TV production, Marketing and PR of the event.

I thought the event was superb and the edit shown on Friday night was spectacular.

GMFCo are the sponsorship and marketing agency for Zapcat Racing’s televised 9 events throughout the UK.

We also brought Zapcat Racing to two of Scotland’s prime locations - Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh and Braehead Shopping Centre, Glasgow.

GMFCo’s have been appointed marketing, sponsorship and PR agents for this event. Currently workings alongside Lanarkshire Council and EventScotland. We plan to make this event a runaway success for Scotland.

GMFCo were responsible for the UK wide logistics of the Tour which travelled to 8 locations all around the UK.

It was the first time the event had realised a sponsor (Rav4), and GMFCo were responsible for experiential marketing, client builds, budget and client liaison as well as onsite production for this event.

contest, bringing 36 snowboarders, some 8,000 spectators and tons of real snow shipped into George Square for an awesome free ticketed event!

The successful debut in Glasgow, Red Bull Rail Storm saw 33 of the world’s best rail riding talent as well as to three amateurs, as they take on the urban terrain, including a giant staircase, three rails and curved boxes – in a battle for first place and a share of the £30,000 prize purse!

GMFCo created the After Shock Arena concept in 2003 which was taken to over 30 UK Summer Music Festivals including Homelands, Download and the Leeds Festival.

For the launch of the second series of Bones on Sky TV we produced a week long teaser campaign with installations in three key city centres - Oxford St., London, Deansgate Manchester, Gordon St., Glasgow. The installation included webcams linked to the Bones website, where an interactive game could be played online.The campaign then included a Reveal of the subject in its second week.

GMFCo created a tour for Jim Beam of emerging talent Jim Beam Music Tour across 4 months in the Midlands, in cities including Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Nottingham.

The tour venues hosted Jim Beam as solus Bourbon for one year in exchange for a series of gigs from artists including The Fratellis, The Enemy, Paolo Nuttini and Little Man Tate. The tour attracted an audience of over 10k, and GMFCo also managed the website, podcast production, marketing of the tour and a complete off trade campaign.

Gordon Ritchie was involved in all the early negotiations to bring the the Mobo Awards to the SECC Glasgow in October 2009.

GMFCo created a Highland Shooting lodge style bar, including faux fireplace complete with Stags head and prize Pike display.

The bar offered over 400 expressions of Malt whisky and consumers were educated about the malts by the whisky makers themselves, including brands such as Ardbeg, Glenmorangie, Talisker, Laphraoig and Clynelish.

Over 8k nips were tasted at each festival.

GMFCo organised some of the most significant events of the tour, including a celebrity chef cook off on the deck of the Glasgow Boat, in Singapore. The events generated excellent PR and marketing opportunities with key business and political leaders and resulting in great inward investment for various clients, especially Benromach. It worked so well for them, that they have now become the official Whisky sponsor of the tour.

GMFCo have been commissioned over the years to arrange high profile artists, for the Tulloch Homes Xmas party secret gig.

Artists have included Danni Minogue, Lulu and Beverley Knight. The artist has been kept a secret until the reveal on the night of the event.

GMFCo have kept both John Taylor Electrical and their Panasonic Store outlets one step ahead of their competitors.

While others were struggling and closing down John Taylor had a great year, opening a new Kitchen Showroom, refurbishing their Bearsden Store and opening a new Panasonic Store store in Silverburn.
