What a Cheetah Eats
A cheetah likes to scan the countryside from a tree limb or the top of a termite mound.
A cheetah depends on sight rather than smell. A cheetah is carnivorous and eats a variety of
small animals. While most cats are nocturnal predators, the
cheetah is primarily diurnal, hunting in early morning and late afternoon.

A Cheetah’s Life Cycle
In the wild, a cheetah can live about 10 to 12 years.
A female cheetah can give birth to 3 to 5 cubs at a time.

Interesting Facts
Cheetahs hunt during the day. Female cheetahs chirp to call their cubs. A cheetah has amazing eyesight during the
day and can spot prey from about 3 miles away.
Black stripes near their eyes protect the eyes from sunlight.
A cheetah can run 70 miles per hour.
