The past six months have been a whirlwind of activity for the GSWS artists, with three exhibits practically back-to-back, starting with the Associates Show at Capital Health in Trenton from April 4 th thru May 13 th , where two fine paintings were sold. Then on to Medford, NJ, for the Signature Members Exhibit at the MAC, which was up from June 18th thru July 25 th . By July 30 th we were in Princeton for our Annual Open Juried Exhibition at the D&R Greenway Land Trust; the show will be up through October 14 th . I might add it is a show that has had excellent reviews, a couple of sales to date and two receptions! Please, if you haven’t seen it, you should. It will make you proud of being associated with such a magnificent group of artists. I am extremely proud and thankful for all of you who participated in any way to create such beautiful exhibits over these past few months. The hard work done by so many volunteers to produce professional, outstanding exhibits is amazing and encouraging. With the help of an exceptional and hard working GSWS board we are working to secure the future and growth of the GSWS. In the midst of all this exhibit activity, the board has been securing dates at future venues to exhibit in and to have educational demos, workshops, and art sales in. Over these past few months we have found that you are not shy about offering your ideas and suggestions on many subjects regarding GSWS. This is a very good and healthy thing and we welcome your suggestions, so keep them coming. One idea that our Vice President, Joanne Amantea, and I have been working on is the upgrading of our website and the possibility of having a GSWS Blog. A lot of you have suggested putting the newsletter in e-mail form too. In this regard you will soon be receiving a questionnaire from our membership chair, Grace Chiarella. It would be so helpful and cost saving for our organizational purposes if you will kindly fill it in and return it to Grace promptly. I thank you in advance for your help with this effort to communicate with our members more efficiently. Again, my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your generosity, your heart, and your marvelous talent!

    Fran Franklin, President, GSWS
