WORKSHOP Level 4 FSSC 22000 is fast becoming one of the more popular audit standards in South Africa. It is GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) approved, widely accepted all over the globe and is becoming the go-to standard for large players in the food industry. It is well struc- tured and comprehensive, but is less prescriptive than other international standards. FSSC 22000 consists of ISO 22000 (Food Safety) and ISO/TS 22002-1 (Prerequisites for Food Safety). This workshop provides an overview of FSSC 22000. Delegates are guided through the requirements with lectures and exercises. The course is aimed at delegates who already have a good working knowledge of GMP and HACCP and now require an overview of the FSSC 22000 standard. The workshop addresses both the ISO/TS 22002-1 requirements detailing the prerequisite programmes on food safety and the ISO 22000 : 2005 standard. FSSC 22000 is fast becoming one of the more popular audit standards in South Africa.
