This a charity association created in 1985 by the late Coluche, a comedian who was interested in politics and the French society. He founded this association a few months before he died on his motorcycle in a traffic accident.

Claiming his rudeness, the comedian gave a new and sarcastic style to his freedom of expression, including talking about the taboos and the moral and political values of contemporary society.

They assist and provide volunteer assistance to the poor, especially in the food sector through access to free meals.

They also participate in social and economic integration, as well as all the actions against poverty in all it forms.

In France, more than 8 million people live below the poverty line.

BUT HOW CAN THEY DO IT? A large part of the ressources of the

association come from donations. Donators have a reduction in their income tax.

There are the products of operation « Les Enfoirés ».

Grants are given by the public authorities.

The activity of the association can only be exercised on the French metropolitan territory.

Balanced distribution of packed lunches, cooking at home.

Hot meals for homeless people Specific help and food for babies.

To receive food, you must register each year and justify the lack of ressources.

During food collection, all donations are accepted, provided that the products are not expired.

Everyone can choose the product they wish to take in the different ranges distributed (proteins, fruit and vegetables ..)

« Les enfoirés » is the name of a group of artists and public figures (mainly french) who sing for the benefit of the association « Les restos du Cœur »

Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote la chanson des restos. It’s interpreted by several personalities. So, with the interpreters of this song, Coluche created the first band of «Enfoirés »
