Arts Fort Worth is your place to discover new and exciting works of art on display throughout nine galleries by emerging, established, and nationally-renowned artists. At the entrance, the Houston and Shelia Hill Courtyard Gallery features plinths, designed by local artist Kris Pierce, which showcase revolving sculpture exhibitions by regional artists. Stop by for innovative, year-round programming, such as the “Arts Center Presents,” which produces unique live theatre experiences, as well as classes and workshops in all genres of art and performance.

Arts Fort Worth is a new name for a familiar group! The Arts Council of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and the team behind the Fort Worth Public Art Program are now one organization working together to create an exhilarating environment that promotes, nurtures and supports the arts in our community.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art houses a preeminent collection of American art including paintings, sculpture, and works on paper. The collection spans early nineteenth-century expeditionary art to mid-twentieth-century modernism, with masterworks by artists such as Ruth Asawa, Alexander Calder, Frederic Church, Stuart Davis, Robert Duncanson, Thomas Eakins, Georgia O’Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence, and John Singer Sargent. The museum is one of the nation’s major repositories of American photography and is also home to nearly 400 works by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell, two of the greatest artists of the American West.

Casa Mañana Theatre has produced professional theatre in Fort Worth for more than 60 years and strives to create, nurture and advance live professional theatre unparalleled in artistic excellence for the enrichment and education of its diverse community and its future generations of artists and patrons. The Broadway and Children’s Theatre series are seen by nearly 140,000 people annually, including 100,000 school children who attend the Children’s Theatre productions each year. In 2018 the original lobby was transformed into the Reid Cabaret Theatre, which hosts acclaimed small-scale shows and revues. After school classes and summer camps are offered through Casa Mañana Studios.

The Cattle Raisers Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the vital history of the cattle and ranching industries in Texas and the Southwest. Visitors can trace the beginning and development of ranching throughout the 10,000 square feet of exhibit space located on the second floor of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Suitable for all ages, the Museum tells the fascinating story of the cattle industry from its origins among the West’s early Spanish settlers, through the heyday of the legendary drovers, all the way to today’s modern range technology. Museum exhibits also show the life of today’s cattle raisers as stewards of the land, livestock, and wildlife and the vital role they play in protecting natural resources.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is the city’s home for hands-on exploration for learners of all ages, featuring various galleries, an immersive planetarium, and a new interactive Science On a Sphere®. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is the oldest public garden in Texas with beautiful theme gardens, including the Fuller Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and the Victor and Cleyone Tinsley Garden, which features plants native to north central Texas. The Botanical Research Institute of Texas is a nonprofit, international research, education, and conservation organization. Our collections include botanical art, rare books and one of the nation’s top 10 herbaria. The combined campus comprises 120 acres.

The Kimbell Art Museum is internationally renowned for both its collections and for its architecture. The Kimbell’s collections range in period from antiquity to the 20th century and include masterpieces by artists such as Fra Angelico, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Bernini, Velázquez, Monet, Cézanne, Picasso and Matisse; important collections of Egyptian and classical antiquities; and the art of Asia, Africa and the Ancient Americas.

The Museum’s 1972 building, designed by the American architect Louis I. Kahn, is widely regarded as one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the modern ea. A second building, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, opened in 2013. Admission is always free to view the permanent collection.

Log Cabin Village is a living history museum owned and operated by the City of Fort Worth. Dedicated to the preservation of 19th c. log architecture and frontier lifeways, the Village aspires to build connections to historic Texas by providing educational opportunities and sensory experiences that are engaging, accurate, and as authentic as possible.

Regular demonstrations include milling, school, blacksmithing, candle-dipping, and woodworking. One cabin is completely hands-on, with opportunities to pump water, gather eggs, and try out a bed with rope springs. Historical interpreters are here any time we are open, and expanded special events and classes take place throughout the year.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is the only museum in the world dedicated to honoring and celebrating women – past and present – whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that helped shape the West. The Museum proudly celebrates living and deceased Honorees who represent diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures. Exhibits reveal the accomplishments of the cowgirl through historical artifacts, photographs, films, and activities including a life-sized hologram of Annie Oakley. The It’s Never Just a HorseTM exhibition explores the special bond among the horse, women, and the West, as viewed through the lens of many Cowgirl Hall of Fame Honorees which includes interactives like the Buckin’ Bronc Room. The newest addition is the Alice Walton Cowgirl Park.
