Kiltegan Camogie
This Sunday September 10th is All-Ireland Camogie Sunday. Our club is taking all our young camogie
players to Croke Park to watch the matches. Should be a great day out!
Also our club has five young U14 club members who play for the U14 Wicklow Development Squad marching in the parade at Croke Park at half time in the Intermediate Final. Keep a look out for Amber House, Ciara Boland, Moya Cremin, Sophie Bermingham & Faye Corrigan. We hope everyone enjoys the day.
Our U14s take on Carnew in the Championship A final in Ballinakill next Wednesday night 13th September @ 6:45pm.

Fr Peter Byrne is celebrating the 60th anniversary of his Ordination on Friday 22nd September
2017. The Redemptorist order is celebrating this with Mass and dinner in Knock, Co. Mayo. Mass is 4.00pm in the Apparition Chapel followed by dinner at 6.00pm in the Knock Shrine Hotel. Fr Peter celebrated his 50th anniversary of his ordination with a party in Kiltegan hall with many friends and family ten years ago.

Kiltegan GAA Notes Last years Co. Hurling Champions Kiltegan Intermediate & Bray Emmets Senior met in this years quarter final of the Co Senior Hurling Championship in Aughrim on Saturday with 3 in a row Co. Champions Bray Emmets winning by a wide margin 2-19 to 0-7. We were chasing the game from the word go and never looked like winning. We were behind at halftime 1-8 to 0-3, but Bray powered ahead in the second half and ran out easy winners. Our scores were JJ Phelan 2 points, Padraig O’Toole, Seanie Germaine, Aaron Byrne, Padraig Byrne, Rory Finn a point each.
Our Junior Football team had a great win over Bray Emmets in the Quarter final of the Co. B Championship at Ballinakill on Tuesday evening, the final score 2-16 to 1-5. We were always in control of the game and played some great football and should have won by a wider margin, after missing a penalty and some goal scoring chances. We went in at half time leading 2-9 to 0-2 after playing with the aid of the breeze. In the second have we went more defensive but still added six more points to the score. We play Rathnew in the Co. semi-final on Saturday the 16th September in Avondale at 4pm. Our scorers were Dan Kearney 1-0, Philip Penrose 1-0, John Keogh, James Nailer Doyle, Stephan Coogan, Darren Hobson 3 points each, Mark Ryan, John O’Toole, Brian Kearney, Emmet Murphy one point each. Our senior football team play Rathnew in the Quarter final of the Co. Senior Football Championship in Aughrim on Sunday at 1.30pm.
Our Junior Football team play Lacken in the West League in Blessington on Saturday 9th at 5pm.
Kiltegan Junior Camogie team had another big win in the league part of the Junior Camogie Championship, this time accounting for Annacurra in Annacurra on Tuesday evening, on a score line of 3-12 to 1-0. They are un-beaten in this Championship, and top of the table, and qualify for the Co. Final against the same opposition who finished second in the table. The Co. Camogie Final takes place in Baltinglass GAA grounds on Saturday 16th Sept @ 12.30pm.
