During Victorian times good old British heavy food was mixed with exotic spices from all over the Empire.

A big changes took place during the industrial revolution and then again during second war world.

Today beside the best of British there are many distinct ethnic cuisines to sample: Chinese, Indian, Italian and Greek restaurants are amongst the most popular.
