My topic is the Leadership and Legacy of William Wilberforce. I chose this topic

because I as curious about slavery in abroad countries. Throughout the previous grades e

e!plored ho slavery ended in the "nited #ates. I ould go to different historical sites about

slavery in $eorgia and be ama%ed at the slavery movement here but& I still ondered about

slavery else here. 'efore I chose my topic& I vie ed a movie called Ama%ing $race about

William Wilberforce efforts to end slavery hich inspired me to choose him.

(irst& I conducted research by reading a boo) called The Life of William Wilberforce by

his sons. The boo) is a biography of William Wilberforce. *e!t& I atched the movie Amazing Grace to get a visual perspective on Mr. Wilberforce+s or) and too) notes. After& I bro sed the

internet for timelines of William Wilberforce. Then& I made an outline on all the information I

collected and rote a summary of the information. While I as on Than)sgiving 'rea) I found

documents and pictures of,on William Wilberforce and saved them to my computer. Lastly I

started to plan out my ebsite so I ouldn+t have to do it last minute.

I selected the presentation category by thin)ing about hich pro-ect I ould en-oy more

and that happened to be the ebsite. I am addicted to technology and I am s)illed in using it for

different tas). I created the pro-ect by using Weebly. I anted my design to loo) older and li)e a

des) and a paper ready to be signed on the des). *e!t& I typed up an outline of the tabs on the

ebsite and selected the fonts that I thought loo)ed best. Then I added all the pictures to my

ebsite and typed up )ey information about William Wilberforce and his effort to abolish

slavery. (inally& I put the finishing touches on my ebsite.

In 0452& his birthplace and house as a child as opened as 'ritain+s first slavery museum. After

0452& he as not mentioned much until the 60 st century. Ama%ing $race& a 6557 film& as a

biography that highlighted his life.
