How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Representing Social Groups

• From our film opening we wanted to highlight the main character as being a geek named Mary Watkins, who is in love with popular jock Scott Williams.

• However, we could have developed these social groups further by using more teenage representations to contrast the social groups present .i.e. including a popular girl or a groups to the background setting.

• Also, we believe we should shown a clear contrast in terms of costume worn by the characters to exaggerate the geeky nature of Mary further.
