The!trail!layout,!as!described!above,!was!used!as!a!basis!to!calculate!the!overall!Bike!Park!

capacity.!The!calculations!result!in!a!Riders!At!One!Time!(RAOT)!of!428!riders.*!The!ROAT!is!not!considered!a!peak!usage!calculation,!but!rather!strives!to!outline!a!10th!busiest!period!of!

time.!Peak!numbers!are!to!be!expected!during!the!initial!opening!of!the!park,!during!holiday!

and!event!weekends.!!

!

Considering!the!428!RAOT!and!a!potential!turnover!of!1.5!times!per!weekday!and!up!to!4!

times!each!weekend!day!day,!it!can!be!estimated!that!upward!of!650!to!1,700!riders!will!

visit!the!Bike!Park!during!a!full!day!of!operation.!!

vehicle!arriving!at!Sanborn!and!that!80%!of!the!vehicles!will!park!at!the!“Mountain!Top”!

and!20%!at!the!bottom!of!the!Blue/Black!Trails.!These!calculations!result!in!showing!285!

spaces!are!needed,!228!at!the!top!and!57!at!the!bottom.!!

At!this!time,!with!the!information!available!to!TS,!the!overall!bike!park!plan!shows!

202!parking!spaces!at!the!“Mountain!Top”!and!the!potential!for!30I50!spaces!at!the!

bottom!(across!the!road!from!the!John!Nichols!trail!head).!Significant!earthwork!will!

be!needed!to!construct!both!parking!lots.!As!detailed!plans!are!developed,!project!

engineers!should!meet!the!goal!of!285!total!parking!spaces.!!
