Les Angles BikePark, France

Les Angles has two wow factors: STUNNING SIGHTS AND VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER TRACKS!!! Incredible track layouts and perfectly maintained. Even better with those jaw-dropping sceneries.

Les Angles Bike Park is a small to medium size resort with only one gondola that will swiftly take you to the Summit at 2150m from where all tracks start.

During the last few months we have endevoured to visit all BikeParks – at least the closesr ones – and we didn’t want to end the Bikepark season without visiting Les Angles Bike Park.

If we could put into a sentence our experience, it would be something like: “We cannot understand how come we have not come before to this bike park!!! ;)”.

These are the tracks available:

They also have a very enjoyable area called “North Shore”!!!

Comments about each track:• Frodon track: for all level riders. In fact, we liked seeing entire families riding together

having a great time.

• Gandalf track: so much fun! Probably one of our favourite tracks! Great combination of bankings, wallrides and wooden gangplanks... Roots, ruts and boulders technical sections. :) We cannot forget the tabletops section to finish a great run.:D

• Aragorn track: we could say it’s the perfect combination between enduro a pure enjoyment; it only has a couple of short sections of boulders and wooden gangplanks which gets challenging when it rains. Apart from that, it’s very accessible too, with great sections to further improve your skills.

• Izangard track: Eventhough it has been assigned as a red level track, we would assign it as a black level, with big boulders were a lack of concentration could cost your dearly :). It’s a very nice technical track with great sights in the first section and in the last too, when you enter the forest section, leaving boulders behind and enjoying the surroundings, if your fingers are still able to grip ;).

• Le Mordor track: this is one of those tracks that you must check out before descending… going full-on without knowing it might not be very advisable. Le Mordor is a racing track, with steep falls, big drop-offs fixed boulders, doubles… and very fast in certain sections. Basically, one of those tracks you will have to do a couple of runs or three before you start remembering what comes next and starts coming out more fluid :D.

Our general assessment is that the tracks’ level is good, maybe slightly higher than other resorts, very well looked after :D.

What else does Les Angles have to offer? We travelled there by car and camped in one of the free camping sites with toilets nearby.

You cannot miss taking a plunge in the Matemale lake!!! Amazing views, but we’re still trying to get the gastronomy right – we’ll keep you posted ;).

We hope our experience has been useful for you.

Kind regardsCoreBicycle Team.
