Exercise Extravaganza
"Test drive" a class and meet and greet our awesome instructors for Booty Barre, Cardio Lite, Insanity, Pilates, Pilates Gold, Top-Shelf Fitness, Yoga, Yoga Gold, and Zumba. Your registration will allow you access to choose your instructors for a modified workout. Donations will be collected at registration or at the door. (Donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to the Youth Recreation Scholarship Fund.)

Travel Basketball Travel team players are expected to be committed to playing. There will be two practices per week beginning in November thru February and games on Saturdays/Sundays. Games will be played at various locations in Central PA. Players are expected to attend BOTH nights of try-outs. There will be a brief parents meeting at the beginning of the first day of try-outs.

Student Community Happenings 2014 - 2015 Mechanicsburg Ski Club The Mechanicsburg Ski Club is open to all ages. Transportation is available for students at MMS or MASH on eight Tuesday evenings starting Jan 6 - Feb 24. Night Club Card and Advantage Card packages are available with membership. Ski Club forms and informational packets are available at the Recreation Office, MMS, MASH, and on the School District website. All forms are due by November 7, 2014 to receive discounted rates.
Cumberland Singers Chorus The Cumberland Singers are an established chorus that has been in the Mechanicsburg area for the last 30 years. We are a relaxed, informal group that sings a various array of music. If you would like to sing with us, plan to attend our Tuesday rehearsals. No auditions are necessary! Behind-the-Wheel Driver Education This course is available to students holding a valid learner's permit or license and completing the classroom phase (or currently enrolled in good standing). This driving program does not assure students of receiving a valid driver's license when the course is completed. The instruction is scheduled during a student's study hall periods, after school or during the summer. Glimpse at the P.S.A.T. This 4-hour course is for 11th grade students who are planning to take the P.S.A.T. on Wednesday, October 15th or Saturday, October 18th (with the PSAT registration process done through student's high schools). This course is a two-part introduction to the format and types of multiple choice questions found in the Writing, Reading, and Mathematics sections. (Note that there is NO written essay in the PSAT) Students will learn how to budget their time and eliminate incorrect answer choices. Repeated practice and familiarity with the test are crucial in helping top scorers advance in the National Merit competition.

“Cookies and Mrs. Claus” - Saturday, December 6 The program will be held at the Upper Allen Township Building from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Activities for the day will include crafts, games, face painting, refreshments and a puppet show. Cameras are welcome as there will be opportunities to have your child’s picture taken with Mrs. Claus. An adult must accompany all children who attend this event. Tickets are $5 per child for children up to 12 years old and $2 per adult. The Upper Allen Women’s Club Foundation sponsors “Cookies and Mrs. Claus”.
